Lisbon wins the award for Best International Port in the Cruise Excellence Awards

The Port of Lisbon received the award for Best International Port Cruise during the second edition of the Cruise Excellence Awards, Atlantic and Northern Europe edition, the result of a survey of more than 2,000 cruise passengers.

"This award pleases us very much and confirms the certainty we have in the potential of port of Lisbon as far as cruises is concerned, says Andreia Ventura, member of the Board of the Port of Lisbon. Andreia added that “the new cruise terminal in Lisbon will contribute decisively to improve the services rendered to the cruise ship and passengers”. This award is recognition of Lisbon as a major cruise port in the Atlantic region of Europe that, thanks to the marketing projects that the port authority has been involved with other ports such as Atlantic Alliance, is now gaining other visibility as a cruise destination in this region.

The port of Lisbon, located on the banks of the Tagus estuary, has in its history a long tradition in the cruise business and apart from the superb natural conditions, offers to the ships berthing in Lisbon cruise terminals located in the city center, equipped with modern safety equipment and a varied range of services.
