Le Havre show good results for the first turnarounds season in the new Cruise Terminal

On the 5th of September Costa Magica ended the 2011 series of turnarounds from Le Havre. For the first season of the new Cruise Terminal 7724 people embarked for their cruise from Le Havre and 8356 disembarked. If the highlights of this season were the partial turnaround calls of Costa Magica which took place every 10 days from the 28th of May to the 5th of September, other cruise ship also chose to use the new facilities of the Cruise Terminal: Fram, Wind Spirit (twice), Princess Daphne and The Oceanic. During Costa Magica operations, passengers were welcomed in a friendly and vintage atmosphere with the presence of a lady who seemed to have missed the ship’s departure in the 30’s… (see photo) recalling the prestigious past of the city at the time of the French Line. 2011 should pave the way for 2012: 116 calls (220 000 passengers) are already planned, compared to 96 calls (180 000 pax) this year. Besides Costa Cruises, major cruise lines such as Cunard, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line and Oceania Cruises also announced partial turnaround in Le Havre during the next season.
